Try YouTube searches, they often have download links to the music. Just make sure your Anti-viral software is up to date. Another suggestion is to simply search by its official name.

Say you are looking for the OVA soundtrack, Type in "Gatchaman '94", "Gatchaman OVA Music", or "Let's Fly Gatchaman". Alternatively you can buy the CD and other music legally:

The Original is difficult to find, but the easiest song to track down is, of course,
Gatchaman No Uta as it is a classic anime theme beloved by generations of fans. Try "Gatchaman Soundtrack Bob Sakuma"
Mr. Sakuma composed the original music to the show.

It all comes down to being a Pre-Internet thing, anything pre-1980s is where the Internet starts to get a bit murkier on search results. (Anything from the 1950s and 60s in Japan unless it is Osamu Tezuka or some well known or long running franchise is IMPOSSIBLE to find)

Gatchaman Crowds, being created in a time when the internet is flourishing, is the easiest to track down. I highly recommend In the Name of Love~, Crowds (soundtrack theme), CROWDS by White Ash, Firebird, and Core Of Soul.

There is also the movie theme made by Bump of Chicken (no really, that's the band's name)

Search for "Bump of Chicken Niji wo Matsuhito"

you can also buy the song on the iTunes store.
