Sadly the news I'm posting is difficult for me to say..
Last night at 1:45am, Daniel, The founder of Jefusion, one of the top sites for otaku and tokusatsu news, died of complications of Centronuclear Myopathy, a rare disease that underdevelops and weakens the muscles and shrinks them. He was only 25 years old.
According to his brother, we can take comfort in knowing that he died peacefully and wasn't in any pain when it happened.
We readers had no idea of the battle going on inside him, because GekiDan put on a brave smile and welcomed us openly to the fandom of tokusatsu and anime.
He always did his best to give us news that would make fans smile and spark discussions about future events. He made us feel like we were a family.
But even though that smile is no longer with us, the courage he had even in his final moments and in life is a true testament to the indomitable human spirit that dwells in us all and the memories we shared with him will carry on long after his passing.
As for Jefusion itself, his brother and the staff will do their best to carry on.
But please be considerate of their feelings of grief and mourning before you selfishly demand the latest episode of Kamen Rider Gaim or Kyoryuger to be posted on Jefusion Stream or that his last articles had spelling or grammar errors.
We of Gatchaman wiki would like to thank Daniel for all his hard work and send our heartfelt condolences to his friends and loved ones.
Rest in peace Daniel Villodres (August 4, 1988 - December 30, 2013)
