A Christmas Present of Death is the 64th episode of Science Ninja Team Gatchaman.
Plot Summary[]
It's Christmas time and Franbel, a northern country is celebrating its anniversary of when it escaped from the rule of the evil dictator General Somure. But under the command of Galactor, the evil general has returned. He demands that the prime minister either obeys him or dies. The governor calls the Science Ninja Team for help.
For Christmas time, presents are distributed to the children of Franbel by the governor. But the Suimusa group, which Jinpei met, have their presents stolen by children from the upper city quarter. That night during a patrol, the Science Ninja Team discovers that all the families who opened the Christmas presents are unconscious They learn that the governor is a subordinate of Somure and has put knockout gas into the presents.
Meanwhile, the Suimusa group has gone to the celebration site in order to tear down the giant reindeer statue to vent their anger. However, the reindeer statue is the camouflage for Galactor's mecha titan. Mistaking the shapes of the Suimusa group for the Science Ninja Team, Galactor kidnaps them. But the Suimusa group are are saved by the Science Ninja Team, who follow them and take them aboard the God Phoenix and escape. The mecha pursues them, with General Somure and Governor Mibe in tow.
Burying the mecha together with Somure and the governor, the God Phoenix leaves. Inside, the Science Ninja Team says they want to give a present as a replacement for the ones the Suimusa group missed. The Suimusa group replies that the best present was to have been able to fight alongside Gatchaman, and the voices of the children echo "Justice will win for sure!"
