Synopsis[]

Jinpei and Jun continue to carefully defend against the possessed citizens of Porcelain City, while Ken and Joe fight amidst the fumes of the Killer Moth mecha. Above the city, Ryu tries to distract the moth mecha while scanning it so that Dr. Nambu can come up with an antidote to its poison. Mara wishes the trainees could be out there to help the Ninja Team, although she winds up arguing with Daiko on this matter, as he questions her and the other trainees' abilities, claiming he read that sending the Beta Team to help before was careless and done in desperation.

Meanwhile, Ken and Joe continue their fight, but Ken has his breathing mask knocked off by Joe, causing him to affected by the fumes as well. While both express their desire to finish the other, neither go through with it and regain their composure as the ISO disperses the Killer Moth fumes with their antidote. While the situation appears safely resolved, there is another plan unfolding back at the training headquarters.

Daiko and Mara once more converse, with Daiko trying to convince her to undertake his individualized training as otherwise, she'd be pointless as long as the Ninja Team are still active. As he departs, it's revealed that he is actually Berg Katse in disguise, leaving off a cliffhanger for #9.
