Keiji Kubota (久保田 圭司 Kubota Keiji, circa 1932-January 16, 2025) was a Japanese screenwriter for anime, movies, and TV dramas.
Bio[]
Kubota's career started in 1968 for writing for Nikkatsu, who he would continue to write screenplays for until 1978. He would also write for the live-action version of Go Nagai's Harenchi Gakuen, among other early TV dramas. His big break in anime came through his association with Tatsunoko Production, where he joined in 1973 and wrote for the company for about 10 years before branching out more.
He died of pneumonia on January 16, 2025 at 92 years old.
